If you feel you're going to keep a game for such a short period of time. Then renting is the best choice.

Why BUY a game knowing you'll be rid of it in a week or so. Then turn around and sell it for $20 bucks. That's you losing $40 or more plus tax when you could have simply rented the game for 5 bucks and had it for the same length of time.

It's going to be a million seller by the end of the week.

I'm starting to seriously question what makes a game a "flop" nowadays. Considering even million-sellers can be called such.

Cryptic said last year that the were "considering" ps3 development and making a version of Champions Online for the Ps3

What you said thus far is true.

But to add to it, Wada threatened to start to fire people if they didn't make the games HE wanted them to make rather than the games they wanted to make. The threat of job security added to the already festering bad-blood situation within Square Enix.

To be honest though, the company never had many problems until Yoichi Wada took over.

Dude, why would you post this?

Now you might not be able to get one for yourself lol

Don't get me wrong, thanks for making it known in all, but if you don't have the system, this was a bad idea to show this deal

Until MS had that mass price cut worldwide.

You can all argue against that if you wish. But before that price cut in October, the ps3 was outselling the 360 worldwide.

All the more reason why I keep telling people, in the end, it doesn't matter how good your games are, it's all about price. I mean come on, why else would the Wii get away with having mostly poor quality (notice I said mostly, not all) games and yet still outsell their competitors whom of which both ha...

Who can say for sure man

But it might be because the DD push is basically gear towards movies.

6291d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

If what you said was the case, the movies wouldn't just simply be "blocked", they wouldn't have even been there to begin with.

That is why most of us are inclined to believe Sony doesn't want their stuff on the 360. Not the other way around

6292d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

The difference is Sony actually OWNS this stuff

It's not like MS when they pay for exclusive stuff from third parties

MS has been fighting a very dirty game so far this generation. So it's good to see Sony doing this like this.

6292d ago 8 agree3 disagreeView comment

But they still have to pay for everyone working under the Columbia label for example. Same with Tristar.

Sony Pictures would be money going Directly to Sony themselves without having to give revenue to the Columbia or Tristar parts of the business

Initially, yeah the money seems to all go to the same place. But it's split differently if a subsidiary is involved

6292d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

I thought that would be a no brainer.

But the more I thought about it, I think I know why they took off Sony Columbia yet Sony movies are still there.

ANY subsidiary company of Sony's movies will not be on NXE because Sony won't profit as much.

On the other hand, movies from Sony (sony pictures) will be there because they can take a bigger chunk of the profit because they won't have to pay the subsidiary.

Bottom line, they might lose more th...

But remember, he IS Sin. So I can see why he was made a villian. But Seymour would have been a more obvious choice

Of course the Sony PS3 feels the economic pinch the most. It's the most expensive of the three consoles.

Did that second link help you find solace and peace during HD DVD's journey into obscurity?

And as for that first link (yeah I read it). I will say this one FINAL time since this is my last bubble:

Blu ray's growth is faster than DVDs. Get real fella, how many times have we seen "blu ray is dead" articles show up just to be contradicted a few days later?

And on a side note, Digital Downloads have been around for a VERY long time. The moment stu...

As I said before, you can post all the links you want. Both Samsung and Apple are both still in the BDA. You're posting these links but you haven't disputed what I said. And what "studio execs" are we talking about here? All I see is one man's editorial (opinion) quoting the CEO of Lionsgate (and he isn't saying anything negative about the format).

And as for that link about that new HD DVD release, that is ONE movie. Tell me, how many movies are coming out on blu ray p...

I see I'm going to end up repeating what I just said. More and more released are becoming available on Blu Ray. Not less.

If the Blu Discs on my retailers shelves are indicative to Hollywood's view of Blu Ray six months to a year ago as you say, the library of disc's would be SHRINKING, not increasing. Hollywood wouldn't even bother remastering their older movies and tv shoes if what you just said was true. Go to some websites. You will see not only new movies coming to Blu Disc,...

You can go that route if you want. You say more HD DVD discs per player were being bought that Blu Disc per player. Fair enough. But, you do realize that only happened AFTER Toshiba/ MS bribed Paramount for movies exclusives like the Dreamworks movies and Transformers right?

Multi format releases sold better on Blu Ray. For example, let's take 300. How many stores constantly sold out of the Blu Ray version yet had back stock of the HD DVD version? Plenty

And how do y...

Oh but Hollywood DID choose of their own free will (as did the customers if you compared Blu Ray to HD DVD sales). Last I remember, there was a format war last year correct? They CHOSE Blu Ray over HD DVD. If anything MS and Toshiba were the ones trying to tamper with free will ( $50 million for Paramount exclusive movies ring a bell?)

You see, with all your quotes from months ago (yeah some of them ARE old) Blu Ray is STILL outpacing DVD.

It's crumbling yet more and...

Blu ray has surpassed DVD when DVD was on the market for the same amout of time. Which means Blu ray is outpacing DVD

Second, if Blu Ray is "dying" why are more and more movie studios releasing on the format? They're even starting to remaster their older libraries for Blu Ray. Do you really think they'd do that if the format was "dying"? They'd PULL support like they did with VCD and Laserdisc. Not the total opposite (adding support) like they are with Blu Ray...
